Job Title: Furniture Mover.
Job Summary:
The Furniture Mover is responsible for safely and efficiently moving, loading, unloading, and transporting furniture and household goods. This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service to ensure items are handled with care and delivered in excellent condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload furniture, appliances, and boxes onto trucks.
- Safely transport items to designated locations.
- Wrap, pad, and secure items to prevent damage during transit.
- Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed.
- Follow proper lifting techniques and safety procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of trucks and work areas.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Complete required paperwork and inventory lists.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous moving or warehouse experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy items (typically 50–100 lbs or more).
- Strong physical stamina and endurance.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license (if driving is required).
Working Conditions:
- Physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- May require early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime.
